Bye Bye greenhouses
This small range of greenhouses in the town south of me will be history in a few weeks. There's a sign saying 6 large colonials on half acre lots are be built on the property. This is how long island is going . Property is worth too much to be wasted on greenhouses or small farms . And so it goes , Allan

This stuff is going on my way too (the houses in the other pic are remarkably similar) We are trying to decide whether or not to be sellouts or diehards. Kids getting off the bus while we're at work in a construction zone will be the deciding factor.

well melinda, i don't mind so much , everything changes , much like the shelf and all this change has basically handed me a nice piece of change for this house i paid 22 thousand for in 1976 if I decide to go . plus I live here in a big house quite cheaply , I no longer have a morgage so I live here on the taxes alone . Of course my greenhouses cost a small fortune to heat but thats a business expense and they are on my property so theres no rental involved with them, all and all its a good deal when I hear of people laying out 3 or 4 grand a month on big morgages . ak
