Think Coons are bad?
My racoon problem has likely been caused by the new building of homes on long island on the habitat areas of wild animals . Woods are becoming rare here now so the coons are moving into houses . In western states the same is happening with this sucker apparantly , the mountain lion or puma . I read an article about a guy with his little daughter who shot a puma that was sitting on a wall near an elementary school in some western state . He tought he was doing the right thing to protect the kids who had been lucky enough to not be aborted from a horrible death by a vicious predator . Hmmmm , think again, he might be prosecuted for killing a protected species of animal . Anyway , I'll stick with the racoons . This baby is a bit bigger , stronger and even I might be scared shit to have it in my attic . Allan

On the other hand, I am quite sure that having a puma in your attic would take care of the racoon problem nicely.
A few years ago this asshole on Long Island had a Puma in his house . He kept it chained to the stair railing and used it o terrorize his wife . He used to beat the shit out of her too and finally she called the cops , I think hes in jail now for 5 years or something . The world is populated with interesting people and no , the coons would leave if this sucker showed up . Gorgeous animal but I wouldn't want to run into him in the dark . AK
There was a mountain lion strolling down Middlefield Road in Menlo Park last summer. Middlefield is a main thoroughfare in that area.
When I was a kid, there was a family around the corner that had a pet cheetah. They had converted their entire back yard into a two story cyclone fence cage for the animal to stay in. Once, when I was about 8, I was walking home from school and they were just getting back from taking the cheetah out for its daily run and as I came around the corner, there they were with the cheetah on a chain and I froze. The man told me that it was okay and that I could come closer but I just stood there, mute, staring. The cheetah didn't seem too interested in me.
