Pretty girl. Beautiful car. I drove 2 VW's for about 10 years. Many is the time I passed the snowplow as I was on my way to the EMS station for a call. I wish I still had them.

The big old Lincoln isn't a bad idea at all.

VWs were the best cars in the snow . Back in 78 there was a huge snow storm here that closed down the whole island for almost a week . Me and ex had a VW car at the time and we went out rescuing people caught in the huge snow drifts . I can even remember passing some some snow plows that were stuck in the snow but that VW kept plowing thru .

The lincoln was a compete fluke . Never in my life would I have gone out looking for a car like that . I had known of the car for years . My neighbor ( a lady) had bought the car new in 88 so I was aware that the car existed for all that time . As a matter of fact when I used to see her pull into her drive I used to wonder why in hell anyone would want such a big car . So the day I saw it for sale if it hadn't been so cheap (she was asking 400 , i offered 200 mainly because I really didn't want it at that point) I never would have bought it . when they said yes to the 200 I was kind of shocked and was wondering to myself " oh christ what the hell am I going to do with this huge thing?} Finally I put plates on it , started to drive it and came to love the car . ak
